1. Wiki

It will be updated with new materials such as diversity-related ACE presentations, Social Responsibility materials, Diversity Catalyst group presentations, and Web resources. The SIG newsletter will be posted in the wiki.

- Timeline: This is an ongoing process. Will be updated as needed.

Three-year professional development plan
- Over the next three years, the SIG will work on offering professional development training sessions on diversity issues to the ACE membership. The SIG will look for new technologies available to the membership so that they can take advantage of this opportunity.
- Session about Diversity issues in the next ACE Annual Conference. Topic and presenters to be announced.
- Expand the current concept and language of the diversity categories---targeted publics---for the C&A competition to increase and diversify the range of options and to possibly add diversity as part of the judging criteria in other categories. Other SIGs will be approached to get a sense of what they do and how we can expand this concept to offer more options.
Diversity SIG Surveys Members on Diversity Challenges
During the 2005 ACE meeting, members of the Diversity SIG discussed how to better serve our members within the SIG, as well as other ACE members.
As a result, the ACE Diversity SIG Member Survey was born. The survey, which was sent via email in fall 2005, asked members to share any questions, concerns, and ideas they had on diversity in the agricultural communications workplace. There were many great recommendations made by our members, which we hope to begin working on soon, as well as expanding this survey to include all ACE members.
