    • Talk to program board about learning about awards won in our SIG's categories
    • Reviewed Spring 2009 report to the ACE Board
    • Our SIG did not award an Award of Excellence this year, should consider doing that next year
  5. Professional Development Goals
    • IT professional development isn't only for hard core IT professionals, open to all extension that might be interested via eXtension's PD announcements
    • Even though lots of ideas brainstormed last year, difficult to find the right person to present some of the topics that were suggested
    • Thanks to Anne for coordinating our SIG's professional development sessions last year!!
    • eXtension willing to host up to 28 ACE SIG sessions using web conferencing. Need to go through Larry Jackson to claim some of those sessions for IT.
    • We can do more sessions if we want to pay for them
  6. Use of SIG funds for 2010
    • Can be used for anything that the SIG wants... books for members, rebroadcasting a session we didn't originate, etc.
    • Maybe have more interactive sessions with more discussion. Unsession format perhaps.
    • Book reviews as professional development. Whuffie Factor, for example. Perhaps highlight key points of the book, then have a discussion of how it applies to what we do.
    • Vernon - ITO - applying technology to business processes
    • Transition from state T1 network to county's finding own networks
    • GMIS - Government Managment Infrastructure Sxxxx - professional group to build contacts
    • Scriptaculous for Java Script
    • Survey whole SIG for topics of broad appeal - Floyd
    • Virtual Office - portability of county extension educators
    • We'll ask Larry Jackson for 6 of the web conferences for IT SIG
    • Second Thursdays, 2 PM Central (3 PM Eastern)
