1 off-campus

To support the Extension Emergency/Educational Consortium grant proposal process, IT leaders throughout the South will conduct an inventory of equipment they currently have in their respective states that has some potential role in providing disaster or emergency support. The purpose of this page is to identify the various technologies that might be involved. This list will then be entered into a SurveyMonkey survey to solicit the actual inventories.

Various technologies involved include:

  • Mobile internet satellite receiver/transmitters
    • Stand alone
    • Mounted on trailer
    • Mounted in van
  • Power generators
  • Satellite telephones
  • VOIP telephones
  • Videoconferencing codecs:
    • Tandberg Model ??? (someone who knows Tandberg equipment should replace these ??? marks)

    • Polycom Viewstation FX
    • Polycom VSX 5000

  • Low power radio transmitters

  • 2 Computers w/Polycom PVX & Desktop Camera
  • 1 UCM MCU and Gatekeeper for 24 sites @384
