Terry Meisenbach, eXtension communications and marketing leader, says he is posting the very latest on the eXtension launch at http://about.extension.org/wiki/eXtension_Launch_Celebration_Announcement

1. Jan. 16 ordered 10,500 4x9 cards. These give the URL and info about eXtension. The eXtension suggestion was 100/county to have in their distribution racks, on their counters. The other 500 are for campus folks, our office. The cards will go out in Feb. 13 transmittal. --cards coming to Lynette, she will coordinate with EDC Cards came in Feb. 6. To EDC: 100/county office, 20/area office. We don't have hundreds left for campus; we have about 50.

2. We will send out information about how each county can participate in the launch (watch the Iowa broadcast which originates in E 4-H). Projected date for message: Feb. 6 --Lynette Need to be careful that our system can support the load.--Floyd and IT

3. Jack's newsletter, out Jan. 24, had eXtension launch info.

4. Put the launch graphic from eXtension (end of Jan. projected date the graphic will be done) on ISUE web site.---Lynette get to Laura to put up

5. Message from Jack or designee (probably a standard release eXtension is preparing) to ISUE staff, also appropriate councils(?) about the event and how to sign up for an eXtension account.--Lynette write, Mark disseminate

6. Public news release from Iowa State about Jack Payne attending Agriculture Outlook Forum, relevant committees, etc. and launch of eXtension. Lynette provide info to Laura to write

7. Set up meeting of ISU's institutional team for eXtension---Floyd, Lynette will help draft message to that group. Iowa State's iTeam includes Tim Borich, Diana Broshar, Floyd Davenport, Elaine Edwards, Eugenia Hanlon, Matt Helmers, Craig Hertel, Peggy Martin, Gene Mohling, Lois Morton, Bryon Leu, Shawn Shouse, Janeann Stout, John VanDyk

Iowa State's role as a provider of services to eXtension

1. ISU Extension is facilitating the national broadcast of the event. Work with eXtension on the presentation and materials.--Floyd

2. ISU Extension manages the Virtual News Room. Write and post releases as requested by eXtension--Lynette
