Arkansas Extension IT has filled all vacant position and has
- 1 director
- 1 assistant director (application programmer and CMS technical project lead)
- 1 technical support manager
- 3 network support specialists
- 2 content management specialists
- 6 applications programmers (2 dedicated to Banner)
- 1 database administrator (dedicated to Banner)
- 3 technical support specialists
- 1 web developer
- 1 secretary
The department supports all data and voice support, including network infrastructure, application development, compressed interactive video, telephone switch and cell phones.
Texas AgriLife IT staffing (31 Total):
- 1 IT Director
- 1 Associate Director (Extension oversight)
- 2 Office staff (Office manager & Business manager)
- 8 Regional and Administrative support specialists
- 6 core network support team
- 10 application, survey data analysis and web team members
- 3 eLearning support team
Currently a new position has been proposed for an Infrastructure Architect, who will join the core network team.
Description:
The AgriLife IT unit supports Extension, Research and Teaching components, including network infrastructure, web application development, video conferencing, IT related staff training, survey and evaluation, eLearning courses, web conferencing and IT equipment purchasing. OSU Technology Services and Support staffing (8 total):
- 1 IT Manager
- 5 technical support specialists and trainers (combined responsibility)
- 2 application (web and CMS) developers
Currently two of these positions are vacant.
Description: the department provides support to Teaching, Research, and Extension including computer desktop support (on-site and remote), web application development, content management system development, web and video conferencing, IT-related training, and IT equipment purchases. NCCE Extension Information Technology staffing (14)
This unit provides technology leadership for the NC Cooperative Extension Service. We support county desktops, servers and networks, provide web application development, and conduct IT training.

- Support group: 3 operations and support specialists and 1 (temporary) help desk support
- IT Training group: 4 regional information management agents
University of Kentucky
The IT Section of Ag. Communications Services at the University of Kentucky supports the Research, Instruction, and Extension missions of the College.
Staffing Summary

Additional CES support is provided in the form of website hosting, Extension reporting, email, video conferencing support, and other Enterprise IT functions.
The Extension IT support personnel are managed by Rich Phelps. Rich directs the day to day operations of the group and coordinates long term projects for the group. This group provides direct IT/desktop support to the 120 CES county offices and other off campus Extension facilities.
There is a separate group in Ag Communications(Integrated Media—5 employees) that provides programming and database development, multimedia applications design, consultation, and training on the organization and design of sites and products.
Alabama Cooperative Extension System:
The ACES-Ag IT Unit is the primary technology support provider for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES), the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station (AAES), the Auburn University College of Agriculture (CoAg), and the Auburn University Natural Resources Management & Development Institute (NRMDI). Key responsibilities include general end-user support and training, network infrastructure management, server administration, web and database development, and videoconferencing management.

- 1 Associate Director (focusing on social media and overseeing training)
- 1 Administrative Support Associate
- Support and Training: 3 specialists (including 1 regional specialist), plus 6-8 students on the Help Desk
- Web Development: 3 specialists, plus 2 students
- Application Development: 3 specialists (including a vacancy currently being filled)
- Systems & Network Management: 2 specialists
- Videoconferencing: 1 specialist (plus students shared with the Help Desk)
Additionally, our Extension EFNEP program, Fisheries Department, and Poultry Sciences Department each employ a locally-housed IT specialist to meet department-specific needs. Alabama A&M University employs an IT specialist who supports Extension and School of Ag personnel at that campus.
