<ul><li> IT professional development isn't only for hard core IT professionals, open to all extension that might be interested via eXtension's PD announcements
</li><li> Even though lots of ideas brainstormed last year, difficult to find the right person to present some of the topics that were suggested
</li><li> Thanks to Anne for coordinating our SIG's professional development sessions last year!!
</li><li> eXtension willing to host up to 28 ACE SIG sessions using web conferencing. Need to go through Larry Jackson to claim some of those sessions for IT.
</li><li> We can do more sessions if we want to pay for them
</li></ul>
</li><li> Use of SIG funds for 2010
<ul><li> Can be used for anything that the SIG wants... books for members, rebroadcasting a session we didn't originate, etc.
</li><li> Maybe have more interactive sessions with more discussion. Unsession format perhaps.
</li><li> Book reviews as professional development. Whuffie Factor, for example. Perhaps highlight key points of the book, then have a discussion of how it applies to what we do.
</li><li> Vernon - ITO - applying technology to business processes
</li><li> Transition from state T1 network to county's finding own networks
</li><li> GMIS - Government Managment Infrastructure Sxxxx - professional group to build contacts
</li><li> Scriptaculous for Java Script
</li><li> Survey whole SIG for topics of broad appeal - Floyd
</li><li> Virtual Office - portability of county extension educators
</li><li> We'll ask Larry Jackson for 6 of the web conferences for IT SIG
