About the ACE Leadership & Management SIG
Effective communication professionals need to develop skills in motivating people to make good communications decisions. Helping guide our administrators, specialists, researchers and other clientèle toward effective communications choices requires the ability to lead and persuade. Leadership and management skills are also of vital importance in guiding operations within communication service units.
This special interest group is intended for ACE members who want to enhance their skills in these arenas. It is a viable SIG option for the most seasoned professional as well as the first-year member who simply has a particular interest in leadership and management.
Mission
The mission of the leadership and management special interest group is to provide a rich and supportive environment, open to any interested ACE member, dedicated to developing leadership skills and to learning and sharing management expertise. The goals of this SIG are to encourage, support, and develop leaders among ACE members, expand our influence and credibility in the institutions we serve, and to add value to our professional organization.
