Area of Expertise
These are subject matter areas where feel you have expertise and would like to be considered as a potential person to answer questions in these areas. Most people will only have a few of these areas of expertise selected. Some areas of expertise have subcategories. If you select an area with subcategories, you should indicate which of those apply.
This is not where you select all the areas for which you are responsible for programming in your role as an educator, but rather the ones where you feel you might be considered an expert or have more than a cursory level of expertise.
Clicking on the text for an area of expertise shows all the people who have indicated they have that expertise and whether or not they have signed up to receive questions in that area.
The "Feed" link is a news feed of people who have indicate they have that area of expertise so you can discover new colleagues across the country with that expertise.
Geographic Regions
Click "Add or Edit a Location" to indicate the geographic region for which you work.
