Composition

Objective/Outcome 1: Learners will compose pictures correctly using the "rule of thirds."

Objective/Outcome 2: Learners will create photos that are simple and have a clearly defined subject.

Objective/Outcome 3: Learners will correctly identify and eliminate mergers and other distractors from their photos.

Objective/Outcome 4: Learners will use appropriate focal length to frame the photo's subject.

Objective/Outcome 5: Learners will correctly use lines to create interest.

Objective/Outcome 6: Learners will use shapes, light, and texture to create well-balanced photos.


Camera

Objective/Outcome 1: Learners will correctly identify parts of the digital camera.

Objective/Outcome 2: Learners will save pictures in the raw (highest quality).

Objective/Outcome 3: Learners will correctly use the camera in manual and auto modes.

Objective/Outcome 4: Learners will download pictures via usb port and memory card/reader.


Image Editing

Objective/Outcome 1: Learners will adjust photos using basic image editing software.
