Creating MediaWiki Article Pages Transcript

In this week's seminar, you will create your article page, using the title that you and others worked to perfect during last week's activities. In the navigation at the right, click new page. Type in your title, using headline style capitalization. Headline style capitalization means the first letter of all words is capitalized, except articles "a," "an," "the", conjunctions, and prepositions. This takes you to the edit page for your new article.

Click in the text box and enter your first sentence or so. I’m going to type a few words, and paste in the rest. Scroll to the bottom, add your summary comment, and click Save.

Taa Daa... We now have a new article page, and have added the initial content. Now you are ready for your first hands on activity, to create your article in the wiki.
