DEID Breakout Proposal Ideas for 2007 ACE/NETC
From Extension Collaborative Wiki
SIGs are encouraged to offer breakout sessions at the June 15-19 ACE/NETC meeting in Albuquerque that involve multiple institutions sharing their various strategies on the same topic.
SIG vice chair Bob Rost and vice chair-elect Ann Bugler are leading this effort for Distance Education and Instructional Design. Contact Bob at mailto:bob.rost@oregonstate.edu if you have ideas or can contribute to alternative funding for distance education and Ann at mailto:bugler@iastate.edu for instructional design ideas. Since proposals are due Jan. 8, input to them is due Dec. 15.
However, with this new wiki, you're welcome to share ideas here of what DEID topics you'd like to see or you're willing to offer as breakouts in Albuquerque.
DEID breakouts I'd like to see in Albuquerque:
Please include name, institution, and breakout suggestion
- Becky Koch, North Dakota State -- I'd like to hear how institutions are using synchronous web conferencing, such as WebEx, to train county agents.
DEID breakouts I'm thinking about proposing for Albuquerque:
Please include name, institution, and proposal topic
- Becky Koch, North Dakota State -- I'll probably propose a session on how the Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN) searches for funding for various disaster-related topics, selects a lead institution to develop the online training then makes it available to anyone online.
