Evaluation CoP Application

In early 2009, Ben Silliman and Heather Boyd, as co-leaders of this Community of Practice, submitted an application to the eXtension Professional Development Steering Committee to become officially recognized as an eXtension CoP. That application is available through the link below. After reviewing that application, the following message announced the decision of the Steering Committee:

Ben, I am pleased to report that the Professional Development Steering Committee has approved your application, and I look forward to working with you in coordinating eXtension support as outlined in the Application Procedures document.

As yours is the first recognized Professional Development Community of Practice, there are a few decisions the eXtension staff yet needs to make to best accommodate your needs and our commitment. Based on the recommendations of the eXtension Progress Review Panel, we are presently re-evaluating some of our technical infrastructure such as the number and purposes of web sites, so how we accommodate your PDCoP may be slightly different from what we once envisioned. Because you are a "pioneer" of sorts, we may have to feel our way along together. However, be assured that I will do what I can to support your efforts.
