For Youth For Life (FYFL) presents an approach to online learning that indicates the source or provider of content as eXtension, representing Cooperative Extension (CES) and land-grant universities (LGUs), and 4‐H which is an integral part of CES, LGUs and USDA. FYFL also encompasses a broad spectrum of content areas that focuses on the development of the learner in a broad manner as well. The concept for a youth oriented eXtension site called, “For Youth For Life,” engages youth in learning about science & technology, health, living responsibly, and serving others as a member of society. The learning environment is one of inquiry, exploration, and application with the “themes” providing a way to encompass many content areas. The larger audience, which is especially inclusive of 4-H, is the school-age population of the U.S. and beyond.
