You can enter your new FAQs directly into the FAQ application as follows:

  1. Log in and go to the FAQ home page (the "Home" tab).
  2. In the "Enter a Question" section, type in your new question. Click the "Next" button.
    • If you are working as part of a CoP, choose a topic within the key words that you are responsible for, such as "Children and Money" or "Saving and Investing"). If you forgot your key words, the list is in the CoP Wiki in the Key Word Team Work Space.
  3. A list of related FAQs will appear on the next screen. Review the list to make sure that your new question is not a duplicate.
  4. Assuming no duplication (if there is, you'll need to come up with a new question), two options are available: "Work on this FAQ now" and "Save for Later."
  5. Click on "Work on this FAQ now."
  6. Type in your answer for the question.
  7. Add tags for your question in the space for "My Tags".
    • If you have already added tags to other FAQs, you will see an option to "Select from your tags". This is a list of your most frequently used tags. You can simply click a tag to add it to the text field. Add any tag that makes sense for the FAQ.
    • If you are working as part of a CoP, include the CoP's primary tag.
    • Type in any other words that will help you find the FAQ at a later time. Tags are personal, so add any word that is meaningful to you. Adding lots of good tags will help you and others find the FAQ later.
  8. Click on "Save New Question." By doing so, your question and answer will automatically become a draft FAQ.
    • If you are working as part of a CoP, the FAQ will go through a reviewing and copy-editing and publishing process.
