Leadership Virtual Book Club

Beginning in November, we will begin exploring the idea of creating a virtual book club here on the Extension Collaborative Wiki. The focus of this virtual book club will be leadership! The Book Club will be sponsored by North Carolina Cooperative Extension and The Ohio State University, but anyone who wishes to participate will be included. The first step would be for us to collect a community of learners and agree on a basic framework for how we will work together.
Things we need to decide (Please add to this list):
- What is a realistic time frame for the individuals to read a leadership book and then come back together to build a shared book review?
- What will be the protocol for choosing books for reading? Do we need some format by which we come to group consensus on which books we agree to read?
- Other than describe the major lessons in the book, are we willing to share implications for leadership from all that we read. By implications, we mean how one might apply these lessons to leading others?
- How do we insure there is a critical mass of individuals actually reading the books and contributing to the shared book review?
