NE Goals and interest: horticulture info. for general public

Master Gardener diagnostics; teach them on the process of diagnostics....

Teach the process, develop the website. Example: Maryland website.

after completing the Diagnostics, would be at a higher level and avail. for more advanced training.

Project we could work on, due Dec. 17th.

What's the reaction to that? (MM)

Bob Mugaas: Plant Care Advisor program, practice going through the process of diagnosis and identification.

They found it helpful, and when they worked with them....got many good diagnosticians.....led to MG plant problem diagnostic clinic.

Confidence in area of diagnostics, and they became leaders in their programs...and led to growth as volunteer, not just science;

MGs not having confidence in diagnostics came from NE meeting....how could they be given the ....that's why the goal

Our group would review and lead in content development w/ Tom B.

Strong environment: a first to collaborate across IPM centers. Perhaps part of money to for work from Tom B.

Deciding what it is that goes into this? NE issues different than N Plans regions. Trying to figure out what stays and what goes?

---Collaboration --

Wiggio - Minutes are there up there...

Online software and feedback...

50/50 cost sharing.

NE: let's not reinvent the role; what diagnostics work in out there and what we could make

--Bob and Julie - also include in these modules: good resource vs. poor resource resource directory....

  • information from these sites can be helpful to them.
  • here is good, limits, regional adaptability.

MG ---- part of this using and how to know , when you are in the right place...

Game techniques to make it hit home.

Would this be available to gardening public? Base level to MG to help build their confidence level. It's not geared for public..... JW - What about the industry?
