Topic: Web 2.0 Technologies
Level: Introductory

Session Abstract:

The poster will display different tools used to participate in and bulid online social networking and communities. As individuals seek information and knowledge opportunities, their online behaviors and expectations change. Individuals expect knowledge sources to be open, free flowing, inclusive, and available for redevelopment.
Blogging, social bookmarking (Del.icio.us, Diigo), presence technologies (instant messaging, SMS, & Twitter), social networking sites (such as Ning, LinkedIn, Facebook), resource sharing (YouTube, Flickr, Slideshare), and virtual worlds (Second Life) are just a few tools in a rapidly changing environment.
This poster presents many of these technologies in one place so observers can see how these technologies are used for different purposes.
