The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Investor Education Foundation supports innovative research and educational projects that give investors the tools and information they need to better understand the markets and the basic principles of saving and investing. The FINRA Investor Education Foundation is supporting a project entitled "Online Investment Education for Farm Households." The project will serve the investor education needs of farm households in the United States through an interactive, Web-based learning environment.

New eXtension Funding: Farm Households are Target for Online Investment Education
Online Investor Education for Farm Households is an eXtension personal finance project funded by the FINRA Investor Education Foundation. The project leader, Nancy Porter, Clemson University, also is co-leader of the eXtension Financial Security for All Community of Practice, along with Debra Pankow, North Dakota State University. The project adapts Investing for Your Future, available at www.extension.org/personal_finance, for farm and ranch families using the interactive, Web-based learning environment of eXtension. The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority established the Investor Education Foundation in 2003. It supports innovative research and education projects that give investors the tools and information they need to better understand the markets and the basic principles of saving and investing. The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Investor Education Foundation is a new eXtension sponsor supporting a project entitled "Online Investment Education for Farm Households." The project will serve the investor education needs of farm households in the United States through an interactive, Web-based learning environment. The Financial Security for All Community of Practice will be leading the effort; the award is a two-year award set at $450,000. FINRA supports innovative research and education projects that give investors the tools and information they need to better understand the markets and the basic principles of saving and investing.
