About

Ruby is an interpreted, object-oriented scripting language, created in the early-to-mid 1990's by Japanese computer scientist Yukihiro Matsumoto. Ruby is most often compared to the Perl scripting language, and like Perl, the language itself is oriented to text processing and systems management.
