<p><b>Committees are asked to answer these three questions by Thursday, August 27th. Be brief. The goal is to limit the report to one page.</b>

1. What has your committee accomplished together in the last year as a result of PLN?<br />
</p>
<ol><li> Made Presentation Skills Module available through <a href="http://pdc.extension.org" class="external free" title="http://pdc.extension.org">http://pdc.extension.org</a>
</li><li> Collaborated with a national community development training curriculum committee to identify resources.
</li><li> Made the decision to hold the 2009 Professional and Staff Development conference in a virtual setting in December.
</li><li> Began the process of developing a shared vision for a National Professional Development Association.
</li><li> Created a Facebook page for PSD professionals as a forum for sharing resources.
</li><li> Created a national PSD listserve, currently at 183 names.
</li><li> Collaborated with the Middle Managers to identify management skills resources for the development of modules targeting county directors.
</li><li> Hosted 4th SEAL conference in May 2009.
</li><li> Conducted and presented results of a qualitative and quantitative survey on PLN effectiveness.
</li><li> Completed writing impacts module.
</li></ol>

2. What has your committee accomplished together that it could not have accomplished without PLN?<br />
</p><p>PLN allowed networking and joint grant opportunities, including multi-state grant opportunities. All other accomplishments identified in question one are the result of of PSD networking and collaboration.

3. Please give a few examples of specific benefits to individual states. <br />
</p>
<ol><li> Strengthen advisory councils through the use of SEAL materials.
</li><li> Programming materials from several states used to redisgn onboarding material.
</li><li> Through PSD committee participation, the need for a PSD position in the institution was highlighted.
</li><li> Parish chair competency model developed based on other states' competency models.
</li><li> Collaborated with Middle Managers to identify management training priorities and module development plan.
</li><li> Retention research results from two states. Provides insight into retention issues. Also, provides opportunties for further research projects.
</li><li> Gained input for promotion and tenure packet reviews for peers.
</li><li> Implemented surveys which have benefited states and regions.
