Hello Denise, I'm a fellow seminar series student. I'm hoping to become more of an expert working in wikis - I have a ways to go, however. --Ann 13:16, 15 February 2007 (EST)
Hello Denise, I added some links to my user page that demonstrate using digital photos with Google Earth. Like Ann, I am finding it a bit of a challenge getting used to working in these wikis. I'm never really sure where I am or what I am doing. Sandy Prisloe
Hello Denise, I know what you mean that this method is rather round about to post messages. I would say it is not ideal for a some things where email or IM is better, but it ends up being a good method when you are collaborating with people on an article and you can have your discussion about the particular article on the article's discussion page. eXtension uses Jabber as an IM system - you can find out about here. I gave it a try by installing Exodus using the instructions here. Each month there is usually a 30 minute Professional Development offering about Jabber (althought not any more this month) - so keep a look out. It also helps to 'watch' pages, then you get notified when they change. You can 'watch' your own user page for example. --Ann 14:01, 23 February 2007 (EST)
Hello Denise, You might want to check out RangeView which is an online tool that let's you look at growing conditions across the southwest - I believe in near realtime. http://rangeview.arizona.edu/ It's hosted at UofA - Barron Orr is the Geospatial Extension Spcecialist there - and I have seen some demos of the systems that he's given. It's not 3-D like Google Earth but it is using much more current satellite data and may be something that you can use. --Sandyprisloe 16:16, 25 February 2007 (EST)
Hello Denise, the easiest way to see how one get the linked email address within the user page is to go back to my user page where you see the linked email address, click the edit tab, and see how I did it. It is pretty straightforward, type mailto followed by a colon followed by your email address. Hope this helps! --Ann 08:38, 26 February 2007 (EST)
Hi Denise! This is your "Talk" page, instead of the new page you created at My Talk. If it's OK with you, I'll delete that other page, and you can use this page for any discussions. You get here by going to your User page, and then clicking on Discussion in the Views box on the right. Hope that helps! Beth --Bnr1 09:09, 1 March 2007 (EST)
Denise -- It was nice to talk with you today, and great to see you busy in the wiki working on your article and your User page. Thanks so much! Beth --Bnr1 17:48, 23 March 2007 (EDT)
