The third topic this week is on creating lists, both bulleted and numbered lists.

This section shows some items that we want to have bullets. Click edit, to work in that section. You need to type in the wiki mark-up for this, because there’s no icon in the toolbar. The wiki mark-up for this is exactly what you might expect.

To add a bullet, type an asterisk as the first character on the line of the text. I’ll add an asterisk to each line here, that I want bulleted. Scroll to the bottom, add summary comments, and click save page.

Here you see a list of bulleted quotes. I’ll scroll down to the next section where there is another list. We’ll number these items. Click edit. Again, you need to type in the wiki mark-up to create a numbered list. You’d guess this one, too. Type a pound sign as the first character of the line of text. I’ll add a pound sign to each line in the list.

Scroll to the bottom, add summary comments, and click save page. Here’s the numbered list. Your next activity is to mark-up any lists in your article.

Now you’ve learned most of the formatting you’ll ever need to know, to use the wiki.
