You will find us online any time during the day, as well as weekday nights and weekends. ==Workspace== * [http://CoP.eXtension.org CoP wiki] *: or * [http://collaborate.eXtension.org Collaborate wiki] ==About This Seminar Series== This professional development series will be open to anyone in Extension who is interested in working in any of the wikis hosted by eXtension, or who wants to learn how to contribute to a Wikimedia project. The goal of this 6 week seminar series is to create and appropriately markup a piece of content to share in the Collaborate wiki. (This finished article can be moved to the CoP wiki after the finish of the class if it has a "content home" there. Or, the content can stay on the Collaborate wiki, and you can invite others to join you in creating additional content around your areas of interest.) In reaching the goal, you will learn about wikis, create an article/page in a wiki using the various features available which may include appropriate use of lists, links, and graphics. Each week of the seminar series will include one or more short video/screen capture segments to introduce and explain the topic, and then an assignment to allow the participant to practice and learn the skills involved for the topic. The participant will be encouraged to attend "Office Hours" weekly to ensure he/she is on track before the next week of the series. Finally, and most important, this seminar is a case-study in participatory education. You will be able to watch the instructors as they develop the next week's lesson and activities. You are encouraged to participate in that process. You may edit, and make suggestions right up until the time the next week's learning begins. Why use a wiki as the learning environment, and not take advantage of its greatest strength? So in this regard we are '''all''' learners as well as instructors in this seminar. ==Plan to Participate?
